The short version: Scoops Up! has no ads, no accounts, and no sign-up. We don't ask for or collect your name, email, phone number, photos, or location. The game saves your settings and progress on your device and uses an anonymous ID for gameplay stats — nothing that identifies you personally.
This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Scoops Up! (the "App"), published by Bust A Bully ("we", "us", "our"), handles information. It applies to the App on iPhone. By using the App you agree to this policy.
To let you keep playing where you left off, the App stores the following locally on your device (using the device's standard app storage): your sound/haptics and scooper preferences, your saved game (current level, score, streak, lives), and your best score and highest level reached. This data stays on your device and is removed if you delete the App.
So your progress and stats can be saved and (in future) compared, the App generates a random, anonymous device identifier and an anonymous player number. These are random values — they are not your name, email, Apple ID, phone number, or advertising ID, and they cannot be used to identify you personally.
To understand how the game is played and to make it better, the App may send anonymous gameplay events to our servers. These describe in-game actions only — for example: the app was opened, a game started, a level was completed, a level was lost (and why, e.g. "time ran out"), the score and streak reached, which flavor was scooped, and how long a session lasted. These events are tied only to the anonymous identifiers above and contain no personal information.
We do not use this information for advertising or for building a profile about you.
Scoops Up! is designed to be safe and appropriate for children and families. Consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU GDPR "children" provisions, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children (or anyone), we do not require any personal details to play, and we do not show behavioral advertising or use third-party ad tracking. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We do not sell or share your information with advertisers or data brokers. Anonymous gameplay data is processed on our own backend infrastructure to run and improve the game. If we ever use a third-party hosting or analytics provider, they act only as processors on our behalf and are bound to protect the data.
You download Scoops Up! through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect its own information (for example, download and usage data) under Apple's Privacy Policy, which is separate from ours and outside our control.
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited, anonymous data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but because we don't collect personal information, the privacy risk to you is minimal.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide a clear notice. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
